Munich, Germany. MIKI (Pia Esten) is a painter who teaches German to pay the bills, and whose life is in disarray. Her son has literally stopped talking to her and ROLF (Martin Mantel), her no-good boyfriend, has disappeared.

Two men come looking for Rolf and tell Miki that he has something of theirs and they want it back. Or else.

Help comes from an unexpected source: her American student JAMES (Jaymes Butler), who is NOT what he seems.

Soon Miki embarks on a journey into an underworld of shadows and violence, of love and murder.
